Quelle Chris’s upcoming album “Shotgun & Sleek Rifle” Is In Stores November 15th via Synergy Works.

Today, the first single from the album “Symbolic (Basquiat)” was released on iTunes and the b-side features the song “Shotgun” featuring Danny Brown and Roc Marciano. Quelle and Danny Brown have been working together for years, producing various songs for Danny Brown’s “The Hybrid” as well as his recently released project “XXX.” Add Roc Marciano in the mix over some Quelle Chris produced rock breaks and you get some amazing music.

Hawthorne Headhunters, at the core, consists of Black Spade and Coultrain, who just released their “Myriad of Now” EP via Plug Research x HVW8 on Tuesday. Their long awaited full length album will be released early 2012 and this EP provides a taste of what’s to come for the full length project.
Inspired by funk, electro, jazz, and soul music, their music touches on spirituality, sexuality and everything in between. Their fusion of influences is not only a continuing of musical lineage of African-American music dating back to Jazz and Blues music, but a promising look into the now and the future on how the music has developed and how it will be developed over the years moving forward.
